New Features: Drafts, Images, Audio, and Box

Today, we are releasing new features that will help you work faster and more expansively. We are bringing new types of interactions (audio and image attachments), new interaction methods (image generation and “Drafts”), new sources of data (Box integration), and improvements to ease of use (upgraded Slack integration and file search).

Introducing Drafts

We’re exceptionally excited to introduce Drafts. If you’re familiar with Anthropic’s Artifacts or OpenAI’s Canvas, you’ll recognize the value of Drafts. This is a continuation of our commitment to bringing the best user experience features across the AI-tool ecosystem to elvex. 

Drafts enables you to conversationally create, edit, and refine persistent content pieces, such as documents and code, within a dedicated workspace separate from the main chat interaction flow.

Let’s deep dive into further features of Drafts.

There are three types of Drafts you can create: text, code, and spreadsheets. In all three, you can copy the Draft to your clip board, edit directly in the Draft interface, save your changes, and see previous versions.

The text editor version of Drafts includes ease-of-use features to make improving your work as simple as clicking a button. They include “Add final polish,” “Adjust reading level,” and “Adjust length.” 

With the code editor version of Drafts, you can quickly select “Add comments,” “Add logs,” and “Fix bugs.” 

How to start using Drafts

In your app configuration screen, open “Tools,” and select “Drafts.” 

More new features

Speech to Text

Talk to elvex, instead of having to type it out. Transcribe audio, dictate instructions, and more!

Image Attachments

Add images and screenshots to your conversations. elvex will read them and empower you to interact with them. Extract text from images, describe (or tag) what's in them, and more. 

Image Generation

Generate stunning images directly within elvex. Note: this requires set up. Read more here.

Easier File Selection

When creating a datasource, search for documents instead of having to find them in the drop down file structure. Works with Google Drive and Dropbox.

Enhanced Slack Controls

Previously, you could only use private apps in Slack DMs. Now, you can add them to channels. Your team can use your team-specific private apps in Slack collaboration. 

Box Integration

We've included Box as an additional datasource. Now, you can easily bring valuable data from Box to your elvex assistants.
