Solving Enterprise AI Adoption: Announcing Our $6.4m Seed Funding

By Sachin Kamdar, Co-Founder and CEO of elvex
When we founded elvex in 2023, my co-founders Mike Sukmanowsky, John Levitt, and I had a clear vision: to accelerate how enterprises build, adopt and use artificial intelligence. Today, as we announce our $6.4 million seed funding round, I'm more convinced than ever that we're on the right path to achieving this goal.
Deep experience solving enterprise problems
Our journey didn't start with elvex. It began years ago when we were building Parse.ly, a content analytics platform that changed how publishers and marketers understood their audience. At the time, analytics tools were simply too complex for the creators who needed to work more intelligently. We made analytics accessible and actionable for everyone in an organization, not just data scientists or analysts. This approach led to our successful acquisition by Automattic in 2021 (the largest acquisition in Automattic’s history).
With elvex, we're applying the same principle to AI—we’re making the technology accessible and usable for anyone who wants to work more intelligently. We're not just giving people access to generative AI; we're empowering everyone in an organization to solve real business problems and create tangible outcomes with AI. This isn't a new concept for us—it's an evolution of what we've always believed in.
The end point of a company that adopts elvex is a transformation in how every employee works, not just a few power users. We’re already seeing it with our customers—the first step in any new project is using AI to accelerate through tasks that previously took hours. What’s more, given that AI is trained on the entirety of human knowledge on the internet, we’re seeing a massive growth in entrepreneurial problem-solving, as AI guides employees through completing tasks they never dreamed they had the skillset to solve.
That’s the change in behavior we’re seeing in truly AI-first organizations.
Incredible early traction
The early response to elvex has been incredibly encouraging. We're already working with notable companies across various industries, including Movable Ink, The Boston Globe, Automattic, Embark, and McClatchy. One of our customers reported that 58% of their 100-person sales and marketing team was using elvex regularly within weeks of implementation. This rapid adoption validates our approach and reinforces our belief in the power of accessible AI.
Our business model also sets us apart. We believe in aligning our success with our customers' success, which is why we've opted for a usage-based model rather than seat-based licensing. We charge based on the value we provide, not just for access. This approach encourages widespread adoption and ensures that our customers are getting real value from our platform.
With our recent funding, led by MXV and FCVC, we're poised to take elvex to the next level. We'll be investing in enhancing AI autonomy, reliability, and scalability within our platform. We're also expanding our product and engineering teams and scaling up our go-to-market efforts.
Looking ahead
The future of work is AI-driven, but achieving this vision requires more than the latest LLM. It requires a fundamental shift in how businesses approach AI adoption—making it accessible, actionable, and valuable across entire workforces.
Maybe more than all of this though is a future where AI has purpose. It’s not just ChatGPT thrown at the wall. It’s intentional, focused, and grounded. That’s the platform that we’re working hard to build. To ensure that when you work with us, you’ll see the promise of tomorrow match the reality of today, everyday.
